The Custom Home Blog is designed to educate and inform those who own a custom home or aspire to build a custom home.  It is authored by several members of the Jenkins Custom Home team.  Jenkins Custom Homes has been chosen as the “best in Texas” via the “Custom Builder of the Year” award in 2009 and in 2006.  This award is given to one home builder each year by the Texas Association of Builders.  To read more about Jenkins Custom Homes, click here.  Below is a brief bio of our Blog Authors.

Shan & Bethany Jenkins

Shan Jenkins is President and Founder of Jenkins Custom Homes based in Austin, Texas.  He has participated in the commercial and residential building industry for over 20 years.  He has won numerous awards for his product quality, business savvy, and altruism.  Shan has an undergraduate degree in Construction Science from Texas A&M University and an MBA from St. Thomas University in Houston, Texas.  He is a Father of 3 and just celebrated his 20-year anniversary with wife, Bethany.

Bethany Jenkins is Vice President of Jenkins Custom Homes.  She has a Management Information Systems degree from Texas A&M University and an Executive MBA from Houston Baptist University.  She has over 10 years experience in residential construction, making selections for all the Jenkins Show Homes and Parade Homes, as well as developing state-of-the-art technologies for the company and overseeing Marketing endeavors.  She is a Mother of 3 and wife to Shan.
